Hit the High Note - Fundraiser Concert for Music Therapy at Goddard House

Musical Performers: Jazz Great Stan Strickland and The Blue Suede Boppers
Proceeds of this benefit will be used to support clinical music therapy programs at Goddard House. Music therapy is a form of complementary medicine that enables our frail residents and those with dementia to reach optimal levels of functioning and wellness. A non-reimbursable service, music therapy is funded almost entirely by donations.

Goddard House in Brookline Receives 2009 Business of the Year Award
Goddard House in Brookline, our assisted living community, has been presented with the 2009 Brookline Chamber of Commerce “Business of the Year” Award. Nancy Shapiro, Executive Director, accepted the honor on behalf of the Goddard House Board of Trustees and staff at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting this month.
Boston University Photography Project at Goddard House Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
Photographer, Bethany MacLeod, is a student of the Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University. An occupational therapist previously employed at Goddard House Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Jamaica Plain, Bethany chose Goddard House for the subject of her photography project because she wanted to convey the caring relationships that are formed amongst residents and staff that she herself experienced first hand while working at Goddard House.
